Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ourplaceinthesunset.com (the "Service"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What the Service does

ourplaceinthesunset.com automates apartment searches: it scrapes listings from source sites, scores them against your preferences, and can send outreach messages to landlords on your behalf. We do not guarantee listing availability, pricing accuracy, or landlord responsiveness. Rental markets move fast and source-site data may be stale.

Outreach messages

When the Service sends a message to a landlord, it does so as you. You are responsible for the content of those messages. Before sending, you must either:

• Review and approve each message individually, or
• Enable Autopilot mode (available on the Concierge tier for listings that score 70 or higher), which sends automatically on your behalf.

Outbound messages identify you as the sender. We do not misrepresent the sender's identity and you must not configure the Service to do so either.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Scrape, harvest, or republish data from other users' private information.
• Harass, threaten, or spam landlords or other parties.
• Discriminate in housing on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability, or any other characteristic protected by the Fair Housing Act or applicable state law.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation.

Billing

Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown in USD. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges on the cycle you select (monthly or annual). We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first paid period of any plan — contact [email protected] within that window. Subsequent billing periods are non-refundable.

Account suspension

We may pause or terminate your account if we detect abusive outreach patterns, if source sites request that we stop scraping on your behalf, or if you violate these terms. We will try to notify you before suspension unless immediate action is required to protect third parties.

No warranties

The Service is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Apartment hunting is stressful enough — we will do our best, but we cannot promise results.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or prominent notice on the site. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
